WATER4MED successfully held its 3rd Project Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, on 9–10 April 2026, bringing together project partners to review progress achieved during the first half of the project and to align on the next implementation steps.

Hosted by ULisboa / CTN-IST, the meeting included:

• presentations from all partner teams on their study sites and work accomplished so far,
• technical updates across the project work packages,
• discussion of the main advances, challenges, delays, and opportunities for collaboration,
• round-table sessions on publications, upcoming events, the Summer School in Bari, and future project planning.

The meeting also provided an important space to strengthen coordination on key WATER4MED themes, including hydrological and hydrogeological modelling, climate resilience, water vulnerability and quality, Flood-MAR systems, decision-support tools, and dissemination and capacity building.
