🌊 What an incredible journey the WATER4MED Summer School 2026 has been!
Over the past days at Politecnico di Bari, we had the privilege of bringing together PhD students, young researchers, academics, and professionals from across the Mediterranean region to exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences on one of the most urgent challenges of our time: sustainable water resources management under climate change.
From hydrological and hydrogeological modelling to groundwater geochemistry, data-driven approaches, water governance, and Nature-Based Solutions, the Summer School created a unique space for learning, scientific exchange, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Beyond the lectures and practical sessions, what made this experience truly special were the inspiring discussions, the enthusiasm of the participants, the new connections established, and the shared commitment to building more resilient and sustainable Mediterranean water systems.
A heartfelt thank you to all participants, lecturers, speakers, partners, and organizers whose dedication, expertise, and passion made this event such a success.
As we close this remarkable chapter, we carry forward new knowledge, new collaborations, and lasting memories. The spirit of WATER4MED will continue through the networks, ideas, and partnerships that emerged during these inspiring days.
